Lorenzo Sistino (at the Bologna Motor Show last December) returns to the Fiat Group Automobiles fold to head up the Fiat brand after less than a year at CNH, the Group's agricultural and constructor equipment manufacturer.

Luca De Meo (above at the Frankfurt IAA last week) has been promoted to the newly formed role of Chief Marketing Officer for all the Fiat Group sectors it was announced this morning.

The 45-year-old is regarded as another high flyer within Fiat. Sistino joined the Italian carmaker in 1987 rising to take charge of Fiat Light Commercial Vehicles (now renamed Fiat Professional) in June 2004 before adding responsibility for Fiat's worldwide sales in June 2005. Now he returns to Fiat Group Automobiles to succeed De Meo as Fiat brand CEO, a role which includes responsibility for Fiat Professional.

"Replacing Luca De Meo as Head of the Fiat Brand will be Lorenzo Sistino, who in less than a year at CNH has brought about a significant improvement in the performance of the New Holland Agricultural Equipment business," read the Fiat statement this morning. "Following the appointment of Sistino, Harold Boyanovsky, CNH’s CEO will assume the responsibility of the New Holland Agricultural Equipment business."

Meanwhile Harald Wester is also promoted further in today's reshuffle: "With the aim of further leveraging synergies at Group level, Harald Wester is appointed Fiat Group Chief Technology Officer," said Fiat. "While keeping his responsibility for Fiat Group Automobiles Product Engineering, Mr. Wester will coordinate product development activities across Sectors. Mr. Wester will become a full member of the Group Executive Council."
