Fiat Group
CEO Sergio Marchionne, joined by other leading
executives from the group, has recently paid a visit to
the plants of Fiat, Fiat Powertrain Technologies and
Iveco located in the city of Córdoba in Argentina.
The
most important executive of Fiat assessed along with
local managers the prospects for Fiat’s businesses in
Argentina, where the group is pushing forward with
several production plans and new investments, which
includes the restarting of the car production in January
2008.
First car off
the Córdoba lines will be the new Linea (2008) saloon with
an annual production target set at 50,000 units. It will
soon be joined in the revived plant by a 1-ton pick-up to be
built for Tata Motors, bringing combined output up to around
75,000 units. During the afternoon of the visit, which took
place at the end of last month, Marchionne and the other
senior managers of the Fiat Group met with the governor of
Córdoba, Mr. José Manuel Sota.
Cledorvino
Belini CEO of the Fiat Group in Latin America, and Christian
Rattazzi Chairman of Fiat Auto Argentina received the
entourage that participated in the working meetings and
visited the industrial facilities of the group in Argentina.
Present among the executives of the Fiat Group were: Fabio
D’Amico, Director of Fiat Auto Industrial Latin America;
Franco Ciranni, CEO of Fiat Powertrain Technologies Latin
America; Gerardo Bovone, CEO of Fiat Auto Argentina; Marco
Mazzu, CEO of Iveco Latin America; Fernando Fraguío, CEO of
Iveco Argentina; Valentino Rizzioli and Francesco Pallaro,
respectively, Chairman and Vice President of Case New
Holland Latin America.
