The Maserati GranTurismo will make only its second Australian public appearance as part of the celebrations of Classic Adelaide when it is unveiled in the Gouger Street party on the evening of 23 November.

The Maserati GranTurismo, the legendary Italian car maker’s latest model, will make only its second Australian public appearance as part of the celebrations surrounding the 2007 Classic Adelaide when it is unveiled in the Gouger Street party on the evening of Friday 23 November.

“Arguably this will its first on-road appearance,” says Edward Butler, General Manager of Maserati Australia and New Zealand. “However, enthusiasts will have a wait a little longer before they get to see the GranTurismo in action and hear the rasp of its sonorous race-bred V8 engine, as this will be a preview before deliveries start soon after the Classic Adelaide.”

The Maserati GranTurismo is proving to be the hottest-selling Maserati ever, with more then 150 Australian and New Zealand customers already putting their name down for the new car. To put that in perspective, that ‘order bank’ for the GranTurismo is already more than last year’s entire Maserati sales in Australia and New Zealand. With the Quattroporte Automatic also driving sales of Maserati’s luxury sports sedan to new levels, 2008 is set to be a very special year for the Italian car maker.
