After recent media events held in Singapore and the Far East, Maserati has now headed to Muscat in Oman, to give a second group of journalists the opportunity to road test the new GranTurismo. The latest Maserati model was driven along an exciting route between Muscat and Quriyat, and met with the enthusiastic approval of all those who took part.

First presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the GranTurismo is now on in the dealers across much of the world, and building a waiting list. The 4.2-litre V8 sportscar most recently went on sale in the United States where it is already in much demand and collecting awards. Next month it will be a headline exhibit when it appears at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit for the first time.

Meanwhile Maserati has just launched a new website. Dedicated to all those with an interest in motor-racing, the site that celebrates Maserati's winning season is finally live. The www.maserati.com/fiagt site relives the FIA GT championship that saw Maserati take all four of the titles up for grabs. Through captivating videos, detailed reports, and spectacular photographs, the main players involved during the season display the same passion that has driven Maserati for almost a century.
