More than fifty models participated in the Maserati Day
held in Japan earlier this month, cars from the A6-1500 to the GranTurismo.
Over one hundred Maserati Club members gathered at the
Okura Akademia Park Hotel, just outside Tokyo, to be a
part of a major event: they exhibited cars that are part
of Maserati's history.
The sweeping lines and startling performance of the
GranTurismo saw it attract a lot of interest among those
present. The new Pininfarina designed coupé has already
earned its place alongside the Bora, the Ghibli, the
Mistral and the more recent GranSport and Quattroporte
models.
A special cake with a Trident in its centre was unveiled
towards the end of the gala evening organised by some of
Maserati's official sponsors, including Pirelli and
Audemars Piguet.
The event was
rounded off in perfect fashion as the Maseratis paraded in
the moonlight along a route that took in the seafront and
scenic mountain stretches.
