21.02.2007 NEW HOLLAND INTRODUCE THE NEW T7000 TRACTOR RANGE

Fiat Group owned New Holland has launched it stylish new T7000 tractor model range.  Previewed at New Holland's recent dealer convention in Turin, the four-model range is replacing New Holland's well-respected long-wheel base TM models, offering customers a new level of refinement in the 165hp to 210hp sector. An extensive development and testing programme has encompassed the entire tractor, from improved performance and operator convenience to rugged reliability and easy maintenance.

New Holland's T7000 tractor has been designed to lead its class in power, performance, control and comfort. Farmers and contractors will be rewarded with new levels of productivity and quiet efficiency from the 167hp T7030 to the 213hp T7060 tractors that encompass the very best of New Holland's innovative technologies.

Silent Power

Four models replace the long-wheelbase TM175 and TM190 tractors, each powered by new Tier III engines offering smoother operation, lower fuel consumption and greater power delivery. The 'whisper-quiet' running of the new 6.7 litre common rail engine offers a car-like noise level as low as 69 dBA in the cab, yet delivers even greater potency to offer the highest power available in its class.

Power and torque are available from low engine speeds to provide fast engine reaction and unrivalled pulling power. A flat torque curve rises by up to 45% while the power boost facility provides up to an additional 37hp for transport and PTO applications thanks to the T7000's advanced Engine Power Management system. The T7000's class-leading power-to-weight ratio ensures its performance is always impressive. The power and quick response of the engine keeps the T7000 on top of every application while the reduced weight minimises soil compaction, ideal for min-till operations.

Built-in Reliability

The engine compartment is laid out for optimum airflow. A thicker, deeper radiator has more fins for greater cooling efficiency with larger, big-bore hoses for a better flow of engine coolant and transmission oil. Transmission temperature is 22 degrees C lower than in a TM, reducing wear and extending component life for best-in-class reliability. Access to the engine bay is enhanced by the radiator's swing-out design, allowing easy inspection and maintenance. T7000 productivity is further increased by doubling oil and filter service intervals to 600 hours.

Low running costs and high productivity

The new engine offers better fuel economy by incorporating electronically controlled injector 'gates' to deliver precise fuel quantities. Four valves per cylinder improve breathing while improved airflow and combustion dramatically reduces fuel consumption and emissions. In addition, this engine can run on biodiesel blends up to 20% without modifications or changes to servicing intervals.

To fully exploit these powerful engines, customers can choose from a selection of transmissions, including three Active Power Command options. These are all full powershift. There is no range changing with its associated loss of drive hampering output with the T7000. Every transmission has been strengthened to easily harness the new levels of power delivery, enhancing durability across the entire T7000 range. A 19x6 40kph Eco Drive gearbox allows transport speeds to be reached at reduced engine speed and a 19x6 50kph Direct Drive model is available for high speed roadwork. Transmission controls sit easily at the operator's right hand and can be adjusted to the optimum position. A convenient left-hand powershuttle allows headland manoeuvres to be easily performed.

New Holland's advanced transmission management allows the T7000 to perform intelligently. The smart IntelliShift software measures torque at the flywheel and adjusts clutch engagement based upon the load and speed, resulting in a smooth shift under power. Auto Shifting thresholds can be adjusted to suit all tasks in the field mode, whether it is PTO or draft work. For the road mode, the pull away gear is easily changed to match heavy or light loads.

NEW HOLLAND T7000

Fiat Group-owned New Holland has launched it new T7000 tractor model range, the four-model range now replacing the long-wheel base TM models, offering customers a new level of refinement in the 165hp to 210hp sector.

The new Vehicle Control Arm houses hand throttle, rear linkage and draft settings as well as Headland Turn Sequencing controls. An integrated joystick operates the optional electro hydraulic remotes, with flow and detent carefully modified from the main control panel.

The T7000 incorporates New Holland's impressive traction and manoeuvrability technologies. The SuperSteer system articulates the front axle for tighter turns, improving headland turnaround times. Fast Steer further simplifies the process, allowing the operator to achieve full lock with only a few degrees turn of the steering wheel. Terralock adapts to a wide range of conditions, automatically engaging front and rear differential locks to maximise traction and controlling the four wheel drive through a steering angle sensor. With the T7000's performance systems operating in synchrony, required power, traction and manoeuvrability are continuously optimised leaving the operator is free to concentrate on the application in hand.

T7000 provides complete control

The T7000 control systems have been engineered to be positive and precise for many years of reliable operation. An advanced wiring system features 20% less connections and vastly superior mechanical switching. CANbus connects the tractors main electrical systems, including engine transmission and suspension, for extensive diagnostic capability.

On the right of the operator's seat, the new Vehicle Control Arm houses hand throttle, rear linkage and draft settings as well as Headland Turn Sequencing controls. An integrated joystick operates the optional electro hydraulic remotes, with flow and detent carefully modified from the main control panel. The integrated transmission controller completes the placement of all key controls on this convenient new feature. Every sophisticated operator aid on the T7000 has been designed to be easy to use. The IntelliView II monitor provides a clear, comprehensive overview of the tractor's functions on a 7" colour display. Settings and tractor status can be easily confirmed via the logical menu system without the need for additional monitors. IntelliView II supports GPS and auto-guidance capabilities enabling New Holland's Precision Farming programme to be easily incorporated. The Isobus-compliant monitor allows tractor and implement information, such as a baler, to be conveniently presented in one place.

Implement control has never been easier thanks to the T7000's highly accurate electronic draft control system and unrivalled hydraulic performance. Two dedicated high capacity pumps offer up to 150 litres per minute, 34% more than TM's, separating steering and main hydraulic functions to ensure large implement control and manoeuvrability remain uncompromised.

A pleasure to drive

Customers will immediately appreciate the smart and purposeful styling of the T7000, and recognise the continuation of New Holland's tractor family features. The sloping bonnet, offset exhaust and large glass area cab provide excellent visibility for the operator. The one-piece glass door offers wide access and unobstructed views while adding to the sense of space and openness within the cab. A smooth ride matches the smooth operation of the T7000, with a suspended cab complemented by a new Terraglide II 'active' front suspension system. Sensors measure the rate of deflection and acceleration of the front axle and modify the dampening accordingly to soak up the severest terrain and combine with cab suspension to provide a shock-free environment. The revised Horizon cab is a comfortable working environment with an easy-to-read instrument cluster and ergonomically laid out controls. A new semi-Active seat is comfortable and supportive and is complemented by an optional well-padded passenger seat, which features a safety belt.

Power on demand, impressive manoeuvrability and sophisticated driver aids offer the highest levels of productivity, while quiet engines, ergonomically laid out controls and a spacious, suspended cab offer the most relaxed working environment, providing operators with the best of both worlds.
