						The Ducati
Motor Holding S.p.A. Board of Directors has approved its
first nine months results of 2007 at September 30th
2007. Turnover during the first nine months of 2007
amounted to 322,2 million euro, showing an increase of
43.8% (+47,5% at constant forex rate) compared to 224,2
million euro recorded during the same period of the
						previous year.

This increase in turnover is mainly due to the sales of
new products, particularly Superbike 1098 and
Hypermotard. Worldwide registrations in the first half
of 2007 grew 14.7% compared to the same period last
						year.

EBITDA amounted to 49.9 million euro equal to 15,5% of
turnover, compared to 24.0 million euro
recorded during the previous year (10.7% of turnover for
the same period in 2006). At constant exchange rates,
EBITDA is 56,7 million euro (i.e. 17.6% of turnover)
with an increase of 32.7 million euro versus the
previous year. Operating profit (Ebit) during the first
nine months of 2007 amounted to 28.1 million euro (or
8,7% of sales) compared to 9.0 million euro (or 4.0% of
sales) recorded during the first nine months of 2006.
Profit before tax amounted to 25.0 million euro (versus
3.9 million euro during the previous year). Net Profit
amounted to 17.6 million euro compared to a net loss of
4.6 million euro recorded for the same period the
previous year. Net financial position at September 30th
2007 amounted to 9.5 million euro positive and shows a
substantial improvement compared to the indebtedness of
46,7 million euro recorded at September 30th 2006.

During December Ducati Motor Holding will present the
new strategic plan 2008-2010 to the financial community.
The plan will set the guidelines for growth for the
coming years. “This quarter is the third in a row of
constant improvement, emphasizing a continuing trend of
positive financial results.” – commented Ducati’s
Managing Director Gabriele Del Torchio – Registrations
have improved by 14.7% compared to the same period last
year, in a substantially stable market. We are truly
excited by the results accomplished on racetracks all
over the world. After 33 years of uninterrupted Japanese
domination, Casey Stoner has won the MotoGP World
Championship on the Ducati GP7, all three categories:
riders, constructors and team. These results confirm an
even stronger brand and our widening appeal to the
market. This is the best confirmation of innovation
quality and reliability of our products and the results
reached by a cohesive and motivated team. In the next
few days the motorcycle fair EICMA will open in Milan
and on this occasion we will present our range of
exciting new models that will sustain our sales
objectives for the next few years.”

“All the indicators in the first nine months are growth
positive: a trend that confirms our strategic decisions.
In particular the return to a positive net financial
position permits us to proceed with the development of
new product and an enhanced dealer network with new
determination” added Enrico D’Onofrio, Ducati CFO.” In
the last quarter of this year we will concentrate on
controlling the quality and the volume of the dealer
inventory as we prepare the market for 2008. Thanks to
the results to date, and notwithstanding the negative
effect of a very strong Euro, we expect an increase of
						EBIDTA to 13% of revenues.”
