Iveco has become a partner of FedEx
Express, the world’s largest express air delivery company. Sixty new Iveco Daily
vehicles in FedEx livery will enter into service in Italy, Germany, Switzerland,
Belgium, Holland, the UK and Ireland over the next few months.
The commercial vehicles selected are the 35S12 van model with the classic
configuration for courier delivery, and are fitted with a partition, sliding
door and
shelving system. After carefully evaluating all of the major competitors, FedEx
selected the Iveco Daily for its distribution fleet after evaluating a number of
its advantages, namely the cab ergonomics and the high number of load
compartment configurations. FedEx Express supplies a fast and reliable delivery
service in more than 220 geographic areas with an integrated land-air transport
network.
“We are really delighted to have become suppliers of one of the world leaders in
the Mail & Parcel sector, not least because FedEx selected our vehicles after
subjecting us to a strict evaluation process that all their potential suppliers
have to go through,” commented Iveco International Key Accounts and Used
Vehicles Manager Ottavio Gioglio.
