The Alfa 159 1.8 Quaranta has been specially commissioned to celebrate the milestone occasion of the Mangoletsi’s 40th anniversary this year.

The Alfa 159 1.8 Quaranta will be an exceptionally exclusive limited-edition version of Alfa Romeo’s latest sports-saloon par excellence, with the entire production run limited to just 10 units. Each example will come finished in black paintwork and fitted with stylish 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the Quaranta oozes Italian flair and charm. There will be a choice of superbly luxurious, leather interiors that cosset the driver: two in red, four in black and four in natural tan. Specification will be to the highest standards that the discerning Alfa Romeo owner is so used to, and will include CD player, electric/heated mirrors, cruise control, electric windows, remote operated central locking, multi-airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), follow-me-home-lights, steering wheel mounted radio controls, and dual-zone climate control.

Under that gloriously flowing Giugiaro-styled bonnet, with its familiar rakish swages, beats Alfa Romeo’s robust and responsive all-new 1.8-litre Multi Point Injection, 16-valve, 4-cylinder engine with Multijet electronic injection, producing 140 bhp and 175 Nm of torque at 3,300 rpm.  From its ‘sporting’ heart the Alfa 159 1.8 Quaranta delivers a desirable compromise of performance and economy. The 0-100 km/h sprint is achieved in 10.2 seconds, while fuel consumption is an agreeable 7.7 km/l; and with CO2 emissions of 181 gm/km the Alfa 159 1.8 is more efficient and less-polluting than its predecessor.

The Alfa 159 1.8 Quaranta will also come with [optional] discrete ‘Mangoletsi 40’ decals. This is a specially commissioned logo which has been designed to commemorate the occasion of our 40th anniversary.
 

The logos are positioned on the bootlid, and on the front wings immediately below the turn signal repeaters. And – in true Mangoletsi fashion - all this Italian passion and sheer delight will be served up for an on-the-road price of just £16,990 and with a 57 plate.
