On June 1st & 2nd, Newteon and its partner Micro-Vett will attend EET 2007 in Brussels. EET is organised by the AVERE, European Association for Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles. Key actor of the electric vehicle market in Europe, Newteon will exhibit two of its vehicles during the Ride & Drive, an open air exhibition that will take place in the famous Cinquantenaire Park in the Belgian capital. The vehicles will be available for test drives on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of June. Visitors will be able to discover two Fiat Group derived vehicles, the electric Fiat Doblò and Hybrid Iveco Daily.

Thanks to its loading capacity, its ergonomic design and exceptional performances, the Electric Fiat Doblò is the ideal vehicle for public administrations, small businesses, service companies and self-employed craftsmen. This vehicle offers outstanding performances thanks to Micro-Vett's latest technology and lithium-ion batteries: Max. speed: 120 km/h; Range: 150 km; Payload: 500 kg; and Volume capacity: 3 m3. The City of Rome has ordered 90 Electric Fiat Doblò to use them as taxis.

The Hybrid Iveco Daily is a commercial vehicle with parallel power systems: electric for downtown and diesel for motorway or highways. Changing from one power system to the other is done at the push of a button and the batteries are charged while running on diesel. Its range with lithium batteries: 50 to 100km and range with lead batteries: 30km. Max. speed is 50km/h in electric, 160km/h with diesel.
 

For the first time available for test drives in Belgium, professionals, institutions, journalists and individuals will be able to discover Newteon's vehicles at EET 2007.
