						Abarth has
announced Italian pricing for its two performance
upgrade kits dedicated to the Grande Punto Abarth 1.4
T-Jet, the 'Assetto' and 'esseesse', which will be
presented and commercialised this weekend during
Porte Aperte a special open day (24-25 May) being
held by Scorpion dealers in Italy.

					The Assetto kit
is priced at 2,500 euros plus fitting costs on the Italian
market while the esseesse kit tops the package at 4,500
euros. The kits, which are both for the 155 CV turbocharged
Grande Punto Abarth, will come with a 1 year or 20,000 km
					warranty, whichever comes first.

					The Assetto kit
offers crossed drilled disc brakes at the front and rear,
new uprated front brake pads,  high-performance coil springs
which also lower the car an additional 15/20mm from
standard, new 18-inch white painted alloy wheels, shod with
					215/40 ZR18 Pirelli Pzero tyres.

					The second
option is the esseesse kit (which revives the historical
Abarth 'Super Sport' tag) and it includes everything that
comes with the Assetto kit plus a BMC Carbon Dynamic
induction kit, a new Garrett turbocharger, a new twin
exhaust rear box with chrome-finished tail pipes, the ECU
remapped to bring the power from the standard 155 CV up to
180 CV. The package is completed by a dedicated esseesse
decal kit and a special engine cover.

					To coincide with
the arrival in the dealerships of the two upgrade kits an
advertising campaign, devised by the Leo Burnett agency,
will be launched in Italy this weekend. It is set to cover
TV, radio, internet and the print media. At the same time
Abarth will launch its new high performance driving school,
which is being headed by former rally star Sandro Munari.
