26.01.2008 FERRARI TO SHOWCASE ITS CARS AT BEIJING AIRPORT DURING OLYMPIC YEAR

BEIJING INTERNATIONAL CAPITAL AIRPORT

Beijing Capital International Airport is the main international airport of China. In 2004, it even became the most frequented airport in Asia by aircraft movements and by 2006 it was servicing 48 million passengers a year.

Business Media China has set new trends in China's advertising landscape with its “Mengniu Roof Project” in Beijing. The five domed ceilings of Beijing’s Central Station have been decorated with artistic ad banners of China’s leading dairy products manufacturer Mengniu. In addition to the colossal ad space, a master plan was developed to promote direct customer contact. At the same time, the 1.6 million Euros ad budget for this project covers the period until December 2008 heralded the launching of the Olympics 2008 campaigns.

Following the launch of the new advertising space at the new 'Olympic' Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA), Business Media China (BMC) has able to close a big order with Ferrari. The Italian car manufacturer has booked one of the attractive car booth for at least one year starting in March 2008.

The acquisition of the licences for the high-quality advertising sites inside the new 'Olympic' Terminal T3 (two car exhibition booths as well as a large number of premium light boxes), which BMC was awarded some months ago after the conclusion of a bidding process, pays off rapidly. The booking of an attractive car exhibition booth by one of the most renowned car makers of the world underlines the importance of the terminal as a premium advertising platform in China. About 80 percent of the arriving passengers will come across the famous red sports cars.

Beijing Capital International Airport is the main international airport of China. In 2004, it even became the most frequented airport in Asia by aircraft movements. In 2006 BCIA was the second busiest airport in Asia and number 9 worldwide with more than 48 million travellers. In 2007 the total number of passengers surpassed these numbers already in November with almost 50 millions. The new Terminal 3 was designed by Norman Foster and opens in March. It will be the world's biggest and most modern airport terminal.

The terminal 3 will be the main base for Air China and the whole Star Alliance including Lufthansa and the Oneworld Alliance (American Airlines, British Airways and others). It will be departure and arrival airport for several domestic Air China flights but namely for all international flights and become one of Asia's most important hub for business travellers.

At the so-called 'Olympic Terminal' all international departures and arrivals for the Olympic summer games will be handled and all VIPs, the teams and most of the tourists will be welcomed there. More than 50 percent of the charter flights for the Olympics are expected to arrive in Beijing.
