Last year Ferrari celebrated its 60th anniversary in over 50 countries. On February 1st 2007 Ferrari owners' toured landmark locations in Qatar, and passed by the Italian Embassy where they passed the celebratory torch that toured the world, embedded with 60 greatest moments in Ferrari history. 

Sports Motors Company L.L.C, member of Alfardan Group and the exclusive Ferrari importer in Qatar, achieved highest per capita sales of Ferrari cars in the world for the year 2007, turning Qatar into Ferrari’s biggest and fastest growing market.

Sports Motors Company accomplished a whopping 120% sales growth rate over the past three years, moving steadily from one success to another year to year and earning some of the most prestigious global titles such as “Ferrari Sprint Importer of the Year 2006”, in addition to the inauguration of the first ever ultra-luxurious Qatar Ferrari Licensed Boutique in the Middle East and Africa in the same year. 

Sports Motors Company witnessed a 29% increase in Ferrari sales in Qatar from 2006 to 2007 and is looking into new growth prospects for the year 2008.

Ferrari celebrated its 60th anniversary in over 50 countries. On February 1st of the same year Ferrari Customers gathered in Sports Motors Company showroom in commemoration of their most cherished automobile brand, lining Doha’s Corniche with their outstanding cars, touring landmark locations in Qatar, and passing by the Italian Embassy where they passed the celebratory torch that toured the world, embedded with 60 greatest moments in Ferrari history. 

Sports Motors Company also represented the State of Qatar in the official ceremony of Ferrari’s anniversary that took place in Maranello Italy, Ferrari factory’s main location. A festive relay of 35 iconic Ferrari cars was held on Fiorano test track. Mr Mohamed Kandeel was the official ambassador of Sports Motors Company for the event holding high Qatar’s flag under the gleaming eyes of the topmost Ferrari global management alongside prominent Ferrari racers the likes of Michael Schumacher and a score of notable diplomats, international Sports and entertainment stars and Ferrari clients.
