The Ferrari
430 Scuderia has received its Swedish première at the
sports-and-prestige car MPH Motor Show, which is
being held at the 'Factory' in Nacka Strand, Stockholm,
this weekend.
The latest
Ferrari sports car model which received its world debut at
the Frankfurt IAA last autumn, the 430 Scuderia, is an
uncompromising high performance machine that continues the
theme of the F1 team's technology being transferred to the
road division by the Maranello concern.
Prior to the
opening of the show, the 430 Scuderia was unveiled to a
select group of Ferrari Sweden's guests at the Factory, and
they were treated to a buffet and drinks party. Many famous
Swedes were present, including Per Gessle of Roxette pop
group fame. All those who attended greatly admired the first
Swedish customer version, a stunning black car with the twin
thin body length stripes in grey. It is being delivered to the Swedish entrepreneur
and real estate developer, Sven-Olof Johansson. He is also a
well known driver in the Ferrari Challenge Scandinavia.
The MPH Motor
Show format focuses just on performance and luxury cars,
and the mix of brands on show in the Stockholm edition
include AMG, Bentley, Cadillac, Corvette, Ferrari, Hummer,
Jaguar, Jeep, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, Porsche. Also out
in force at its 'home' motor show is Swedish supercar maker
Koenigsegg, with a trio of its distinctive cars, the CCX,
CCR and CCGT Le Mans.
As well as the
potent new Ferrari 430 Scuderia, another striking Italian
machine is making its Swedish debut at the show this
weekend, this time Maserati's luxurious Quattroporte Sport
GT S. Other Swedish premières at the show include the
Mercedes-Benz AMG C63, Audi RS6, BMW M3 sedan, Jaguar XF 2.7
D and V8 S/C, Porsche GT2 and Cayenne GTS.
The Ferrari 430
Scuderia and the Maserati Quattroporte GT S are just two of
the many eye catching Italian cars on show: Ferrari is also
represented by the four-seat 612 Scaglietti, a metallic
black example with tan leather interior lining up alongside
the similar-coloured 430 Scuderia, while the latter
brand has the well received new GranTurismo on show. Alfa
Romeo is also out in force with a quartet of its sporty
cars: the Alfa 159 TI, Brera, Spider and GT. Finally
Lamborghini has two of its V10 engine Gallardo sports car
models on display: the lightweight Superleggera and
open-topped Spyder.
