Condé Nast
and Ferrari have reached an agreement to co-publish a
magazine dedicated entirely to the leading luxury high
performance car brand.
Ferrari will be consolidating their previous varied
publishing undertakings into this one global publication
that will be editorially ground-breaking, with content
specifically aimed at the high net worth individuals who
are owners of Ferrari cars around the world. The
magazine will offer a unique audience that will be
highly attractive to upscale advertisers.
In English, with an initial print run of 30,000, the
magazine will be directed by the Editor in Chief Antonio
Ghini who was Communications and Brand Management
Director at Ferrari for the last 15 years. He will be
assisted by Editor Jason Barlow, a journalist who holds,
among other roles, that of Contributing Editor for the
motoring section of British GQ.
The magazine will be art directed by Rebecca Smith,
formerly of British Vogue and Creative Director of Lula
Magazine. Rebecca was previously Art Director of
Wallpaper. Melinda Chandler, former Condé Nast
promotions director, will be Advertisement Director.
Albert Read, General Manager for Condé Nast, comments,
"This new publication represents a perfect pairing
between Ferrari, an independent company that has always
been driven by innovation and excellence, and Condé Nast
which sets the benchmark for publishing excellence
globally. It offers CNCP a wonderful opportunity to
capitalise on its unique understanding of what is a very
rarefied part of the market, and to deliver a magazine
of beauty and intelligence."
Dany Bahar, Ferrari Brand and Marketing Director
comments "For several years now Ferrari was thinking
about a publication dedicated, first of all, to its
collectors and clients in the world. I'm proud to give
the start to this project. That magazine will be
directed by Antonio Ghini, who, with his great knowledge
of the Company will be able to meld tradition and an
ability to innovate in the name of a widely loved and
respected Marque."
Four issues of the Magazine will be published annually
to coincide with major dates on the calendar. The first
issue goes to print in late June while the second
appears for the Paris Motor Show at the end of
September.
