In recent years, Ferrari's business in the Eastern European nations, including Russia, has increased by 100 percent overall.

"Today is an historic day for Ferrari because we are inaugurating the Prancing Horse's first official presence in Romania." Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo said during the press conference to mark the inauguration of Forza Rossa, Ferrari's first official Romanian service centre.

"There are many reasons why we decided to officially enter the Romanian market and most definitely amongst those were the growing number of Ferrari tifosi and enthusiasts that have made contact with us through our website. Romania is also an important partner to Italy and the number of Italian businesses here is unequalled anywhere else in Eastern Europe. We are convinced that this passion for our marque will yield excellent new clients."

"Our presence in Romania," added President Luca di Montezemolo "demonstrates once again Ferrari's ability to grow its presence in all of the emerging countries whilst retaining the exclusivity that has always been a byword of our marque. Here in Romania, where we estimate to sell 10 cars this year, we will stick to our strategy that involves meeting just a part of the market demand. As I always say, Ferrari doesn't sell cars, it sells a dream and that is exactly what we'll be doing in this country too."

President Montezemolo then went on to thank the dignitaries present, including the Italian Ambassador, His Excellency Daniele Mancini and the Forza Rossa partners: "We received many, many requests to open this centre and we chose Forza Rossa because of its quality and the entrepreneurial and professional skills of its partners whose genuine passion for Ferrari will ensure they will provide an excellent service to existing and future Ferrari clients."

In recent years, Ferrari's business in the Eastern European nations, including Russia, has increased by 100% overall. In Romania in particular Ferrari expects that the potential market will grow to a capacity of around 50 cars annually within the next 3-4 years. The first Ferrari service centre, which covers a total surface area of 2,800 square metres, lies on the main road leading from Bucharest airport to the city centre. From today it will be providing assistance, maintenance and warehousing services for Ferrari clients in Romania.
