PODIO FERRARI 2008

The eighth edition of Podio Ferrari, the annual awards for Ferrari's suppliers and partners once again rewarded the companies that distinguished themselves for their technical and technological excellence, innovation and product development.

The eighth edition of Podio Ferrari, the annual awards for Ferrari's suppliers and partners worldwide, took place on Thursday. Once again this year the companies that distinguished themselves for their technical and technological excellence, innovation and product development in partnership with the Prancing Horse, were presented with a series of awards.

There was particular attention during ceremony on quality and the relevant concept and processes being extended beyond Maranello to embrace all of the partners with whom Ferrari works.

The ceremony was, as in now traditional, attended by President Luca di Montezemolo, Vice-President Piero Ferrari and CEO Amedeo Felisa. This year, however, the speakers also included Michael Schumacher who talked those assembled through the development process for the new Ferrari California.

Harman Becker - the Ferrari Technology Award was presented to Matthew Munn, Senior Vice President Global Sales and Marketing of Harman Becker by Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa for "the recent partnership agreement signed for infotainment components which will guarantee our cars internationally acknowledged exceptional performance in this area."

TCS - Tata - the Ferrari Innovation Award was presented to Girish Ramachandran, TCS Regional Director, by Stefano Domenicali for his company's "ongoing proactive approach, excellent contribution both to design activities and the selection of information technologies to support innovation in the GES. A significant example of technological leadership and a model of cultural and technological innovation."

"Italian Excellence": this award went to Saima "in recognition of a partnership copper-fastened by the creation and implementation of the ambitious Integrated Logistics Programme. The award was presented to Saima director Gianfranco Levoni by Ferrari Vice-Presient Piero Ferrari.

Robert Bosch - The President's Award was presented by Luca di Montezemolo and Michael Schumacher to Peter Tyroller, a member of the board and Sales Director Worldwide of the Bosch Group's auto technologies division, and Massimo Guarini, CEO of Bosch Italy, for:"Consolidated partnership and ongoing commitment to the development of GDI and ESP systems for the entire range of Ferrari models."
