With the
opening of a new photo exhibition the Galleria Ferrari
continues its theme of prestigious expositions the
Galleria has dedicated to the relationship between
Ferrari and the world of arts. The works of Günther
Raupp, the official photographer of Ferrari's calendars,
over the last 25 years are shown in the Galleria's
thematic exhibition area. The exhibition will open with
a preview on 18th December at 18pm in the presence of
the artist. The exhibition will be shown in Maranello
until 2nd March 2009.
The legend of Ferrari can also be found in images and a
calendar can become a real cult object for the fans of
the Prancing Horse. This is the case of the calendars by
Günther Raupp who, after cultivating his passion for
Ferrari and making a dream come true by buying a Dino
246 Spider, in the year 1984 presented his first
calendar on his own initiative, which was extremely
appreciated by Enzo Ferrari.
Twenty five years have passed since then and a contract
between Ferrari and the photographer was signed so his
calendar became the official Ferrari calendar. Every
year the calendar is published and distributed all over
the world in a format of 50 X 70 cm.
At the Galleria in Maranello the original calendars,
published in collaboration with the Company over the
last 25 years, will be shown next to some of the most
beautiful photos from the different sets: a prestigious
selection of images in format 120 X 120 cm with the most
beautiful Ferraris owned by collectors all over the
world, immortalized exclusively by Günther Raupp.
After its presentation in Maranello the exhibition will
be shown in Stuttgart, Tokyo, San Diego, New York and
London. On the occasion of the exhibition several
prestigious cars will be shown at the Galleria: the
Ferrari 275 GTB/4, the 512 M and the F40.
