Studio M has
presented a special Fiat 500 at Scrigno Tesori d'Italia,
the annual luxury products show show in Rome, which is
clothed in the most opulent of materials and finished in
a 24-carat gold micro-powder paint.
Scrigno Tesori d'Italia
is a showcase for manufacturers of luxury and exclusive
products, such as timepieces, footwear, jewellery,
ornaments, furniture and designer clothing; and has
attracted niche supercar makers including as Automobili
Pagani. For Studio M it is the perfect showcase for its
new Fiat 500 project, which has been dubbed 500 Pepita. Scrigno Tesori d'Italia
is taking place over this weekend (8-10 February) in
Spazio Etoile, Rome.
Studio M was
set up in 2005 to provide customers with the ultimate
automotive personalisation service. The company operates
out of four centres in the Turin area, and last year at
Scrigno Tesori d'Italia it presented a Maserati
Quattroporte which was finished in a very similar
24-carat gold micro-powder paint finish with clear
varnish coat as well as a number of modifications such
as the front grille and lower spoiler.
For this
year's edition Studio M has applied this paint finish to
the car of the moment, the Car of the Year award
winning Fiat 500, which is rapidly gaining popularity
with stylists and tuners around Europe, each seeking to
create their own individual interpretation of the
little.
Studio M has
now taken its paint finish treatment one stage further,
this time applying the 24 carat-gold based paint to the
walls of its 195/45R16 Pirelli PZero Nero tyres which
are shod on new polished aluminium OZ wheels that are
highlighted in gloss black between the fan-effect thin
spokes.
The opulent
treatment meted out to the 500 Pepita isn't just reserved
for the exterior, inside Studio M's team has been just as
busy. The dashboard inlay section is now entirely covered in
Australian mother-of-pearl, while the gearstick, handbrake
lever and pedals are encrusted with Swarovski crystals. A
large aluminium Pepita logo is engraved onto the dashboard
with the 'I' being encrusted with emeralds, the 'T' with
diamonds and the 'A' with rubies. The door panels and
bespoke floormats are finished in Alcantara. The 500 Pepita
is priced at around 60,000 euros but Studio M offer no less
that 48 different precious stone options for this
conversion, along with a range of materials including
crocodile, shark, ostrich or snake skin.
