18.03.2008 FIAT LAUNCHES NEW ONLINE DESIGN INITIATIVE

Grande Punto Stickers Lab

Grande Punto Stickers Lab is a new internet venture developed by Fiat in conjunction with ARC Leo Burnett which will see online users working with Fiat to come up with new customisation design.

“Grande Punto Stickers Lab”, a new Internet venture developed by Fiat in conjunction with ARC Leo Burnett, will be online until 30 April. Users of this digital workshop are asked to work with the Fiat Team to come up with new customisation designs for one of the most successful models in the range: the Fiat Grande Punto.

After the "500 wants you" community, the blogs on the Fiat Bravo and the 78th International Geneva Motor Show, the brand is launching this new initiative to foster participation and cooperation via the internet. Users can log on to the site www.stickerlab.fiatpunto.it and register to customise the exterior of a Fiat Grande Punto, with the aim of expressing their individuality and style in a creative and original way.

The project is divided into two sections: “Design your sticker” and “Send in an idea”. The first is for everyone, artists or just simply fans, who wish to design their own sticker and apply it directly to a board bearing the small-scale outline of the car, that can be downloaded with the registration pack. The works thus created will be added to a gallery where they may be voted for and commented on by users who will draw up a shortlist of ten finalists.

The “Send in an idea” section is for those who prefer to express their view of a Grande Punto customisation by means of a concept, an image or simply a feeling. The important thing is to express yourself, even by referring to a song, a book or a film. There are no limits.

A specialised panel will choose 6 entries – 3 per category – and the six winners will be able to take part in a special workshop with the Fiat Team to consider the possibility of mass-producing their achievements. The winner of each category will also be awarded a gold ingot worth EUR 5,000.
