Austrian
tuner OC.T Tuning is the latest aftermarket performance
company to turn its attentions to the new Fiat 500, and
it is offering a mild engine power and cosmetic upgrade for the
Car of the Year 2008 award
winner.
OC.T
(Oberscheider
Chip Tuning) already offers power upgrades for a range of
automotive brands, including Fiat, Audi, VW. BMW, Alfa Romeo,
Peugeot, Lancia, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Mercedes, Mini,
Porsche, Renault and Skoda. Now OC.T Tuning joins a range of other
tuning companies that have
quickly focused on the Fiat 500, which has captured so much
public and media attention since its glitzy world debut
in Turin last summer.
The
Austrian firm has mildly upgraded the 1.3-litre common
rail Multijet 16v engined version of the 500, which
already features a small fixed geometry
turbocharger. Maximum power is increased from the standard 75 bhp up
to 90 bhp, while peak torque is raised from 145 to 180 Nm. OC.T promise a reduction in
the 0-100 km/h acceleration time as well as an
improvement in top speed.
Cosmetically, the OC.T Tuning package for the Fiat 500
offers new 17-inch thin spoked alloy wheels (including
in black colour) which are shod with low-profile
205/40R17 tyres. |
