The Fiat 500
has just been named the Greenest Car for Women in
Australia in the Women’s Car of the Awards, which
were presented jointly by AutoChic, the web site
dedicated to women car buyers, and BP Renewables, the
division of the energy giant dedicated new energy
solutions.
The Greenest
Car for Women award was based on all areas of
environmental concern, as well as emissions and fuel
economy.
“Winning this
award is a clear recognition that the Fiat 500 is much more
than a cute face and a great car to drive,” says Andrei
Zaitzev, General Manager for Fiat in Australia. “Under the
500’s skin is a car committed to the environment, with the
best fuel economy of any car sold in Australia, a car that
is 95 per cent recyclable, which is made from as few PVC and
thermo-setting plastics as possible and it is part of range
of cars that have been independently shown to have the
lowest range wide CO2 emissions. This unique combination of
style and driving pleasure, along with benchmark
environmental performance and a price that is up to 50 per
cent less than some other environmental cars, means that the
Fiat 500 truly is a car that you can buy with your heart and
your brain!”
