						Reiter
Engineering has followed up its new street styling kit
for the Murciélago, presented earlier this month, with
the commercialisation of a comprehensive new bodykit for
the Gallardo that is drawn from the aerodynamic package
of its highly successful GT3 racer.

						Reiter
Engineering, run by highly experienced race engineer Hans Reiter, has made its name
during the last half decade tuning and developing customer
Lamborghini based racing cars, starting with the FIA GT1 class
Murciélago R-GT in 2004, and continuing with a version
of the Gallardo developed for the FIA GT3 category.

						This latter
racer has seen much success on racing circuits in
championships worldwide, such as Germany, Italy, Brazil
and the UK, as well as in the FIA GT3 Championship. Most
recently driver Mark Eddy wrapped up the 2008 Australian
GT Championship title at the wheel of a Reiter
						Engineering-built Gallardo GT3.

						The German
firm's bodykit for the Gallardo road car bears all the
hallmarks of the racing car; it has been previewed
previously but is now available for ordering. At the
front of the Gallardo a thin horizontal lip spoiler is
fitted around the base of the bumper section, an effect
which is replicated with new side skirts along the car's
flanks. On the wings in front of the front wheels new
slots are cut to feed extra air to the brakes and this
is funnelled away through a vertical vent behind the
wheel arch. At the rear of the Reiter Gallardo a large
racing-style carbon fibre rear wing completes the
Gallardo's external effects which are complimented by
new wheels and a lowered ride height, while inside,
racing 'bucket' seats and multipoint harnesses features.
