Lancia has announced pricing for the Delta, which arrives in Italian dealerships on the weekend of 21-22 June. Available in three specification levels (Argento, Oro and Platino), the Delta launches with a comprehensive array of engines, including the 1.4 TurboJet (in 120 and 150 CV outputs), the 120 CV 1.6 Multijet (already seen in the Bravo and now also introduced into the Musa this week), plus two brand-new engines – the 165 CV 2.0 Multijet, and the 1.9 Multijet twin-stage turbo with 190 CV. A robotised transmission option for the 1.6 Multijet, priced at €1200, will follow in the autumn, with the range to be completed by the new 200 CV 1.8 TurboJet in February 2009.

Pricing for the entry-level 1.4 T-Jet Argento opens at €21,500, rising to €30,700 for the range-topping 1.9 Multijet Platino. Engine-for-engine, specification levels are separated by a €1600 difference between both Argento and Oro, and Oro and Platino. The Argento model comes as standard with six airbags, foglights, ESP, height/reach-adjustable steering wheel, air conditioning, sliding/reclining rear seats, 8-speaker radio with CD/MP3 player (with steering wheel controls), trip computer, electric windows, electrically adjustable and heatable exterior mirrors and 16” steel wheels.

The Oro model offers extra equipment to the value of €2200, representing 27 per cent extra value for the extra cost. This includes 16” alloy wheels, chrome window trim, alcantara/leather upholstery, electrically folding exterior mirrors, multifunction display, light and rain sensors, and cruise control.

Finally, compared to the Oro specification, the Platino model offers an extra €3110 in equipment, or a saving of 49 per cent. Standard equipment at this level includes 17” alloy wheels (18” for 1.9 Multijet), automatic dual-zone climate control, Granluce sunroof and bicolore paint.
