given the more than 1,500,000 visits to Delta Project, the
innovative web site accessible since February that allows
visitors to preview all the changes in the new Delta before
its market launch. Each section, whether for product
information or entertainment, has boosted the number of
visits exponentially, testifying to a dramatic rise in
expectations and curiosity about the new Lancia Delta.
This success was
also made possible thanks to the extraordinary popularity of
the Delta Time contest, which has seen the publication of
more then 270,000 automobile license plates. Three of the
seven candidates eligible to win the coveted first price
have already been identified. The epilogue took place on
July 6 when the lucky winner of the new Lancia Delta was
revealed. The other six finalists received remote controlled
models of the car, while all participants were eligible to
win a "Lancia Delta” sweatshirt daily.
Since June 21,
now that the car has been launched in all the showrooms,
another threshold has been reached: the Lancia New Delta web
site is now on line at http://www.lancianewdelta.it/, where
visitors can browse innovative contents thanks to the six
increasingly interactive sections. The first version made it
possible to glimpse a preview of all the changes in the new
model, but the newer version has become the official Lancia
Delta web site, where every detail can be discovered, no
holds barred.
Above all, the
new Car Configurator makes it possible to design your Lancia
Delta in every detail, thanks to particularly realistic
graphics that offer the visualisation of the car from any
perspective, inside and out. The Delta changes in real time
according to the options chosen during the configuration
phase, automatically updating the final price. With the
printed prospectus, you can go to your nearest dealer and
order the car.
In addition to
the Discover section, which was the first to allow the
discovery of the technical characteristics of the car, and
the Portfolio section, where visitors can leaf through a
virtual catalogue – 3D images were used in two further
sections: the Backstage and the Spot. Unprecedented contents
make the Backstage a captivating video gallery that reveals
how the Delta style was born, thanks to the behind the
scenes account narrated by the Manager of the Lancia Style
Centre. To complete the virtual Lancia Delta on-board
experience, preview the 45-second spot on line.
To complement
the debut of the new Lancia New Delta site, a banner
campaign was planned for web sites in the auto, news, and
style worlds. As a confirmation of this global strategy that
chooses the web as its main channel for communicating the
conception and evolution of a new model, on June 19, Lancia
Delta gave the go ahead for an itinerant event in the world
of Second Life, which will feature the Delta on the virtual
islands for six weeks: black and elegant, the Delta will
travel on board the mobile platform of the promotional
tractor-trailer, inside of which it will be possible to
discover the world of Lancia and become familiar with the
Lancia Village. Following the inaugural celebration on June
19, the event will conclude with another exclusive party in
the Lancia Village. Lancia elegance and attitude are once
again unveiled in a virtual version. The difference? The
continued search for new Deltas yet to come.
