Pagani
Automobili designated Brazilian luxury car dealer
Platinuss as its official importer for Brazil; the
agreement was established in October of 2007. The Zonda
F is the first of the Modena built cars to be imported
and it becomes the most expensive car to be sold in the
country, with a base price of R$ 4 million Reais
(1,500,500 euros).
To herald the
arrival of the Pagani Zonda F, Platinuss, who also manage
Lotus, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Bentley dealerships, held a
press conference in the 'Espaço Rosa Rosarum' which is one
of the most sophisticated places in the City of São Paulo
city, a perfect venue to present the carbon-fibre bodied,
594 bhp 7.3-litre V12 AMG Mercedes-Benz powered supercar
which travels from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, has a
power-to-weight ratio of 521 bhp/ton and a top speed in
excess of 320 km/h.
"We plan to
import just one unit in 2008 and the same number for 2009,
in 2010 two units will be available, as it's a niche car and
we want to keep its exclusiveness as high as possible. We
will begin our operations as a car importer with Pagani
Zonda F, but our target is to bring to the country the most
sophisticated and luxurious cars of the world, very special
models and limited series, cars that will fulfil Brazilian’s
dreams," commented the CEO of Platinuss Mr. Natalino Bertin
Júnior, at the press conference.
In the mind of
Horácio Pagani, the Argentinean owner and founder of Pagani
Automobili as well as the Zonda's designer, the car is more
than merely an object of desire, its conception is the whole
synthesis of ‘state of the art’. The Zonda F has the most
sophisticated technology on-board which is present in racing
cars; while design, exclusiveness and refinement on every
detail are the others aspects in the model. Just 25 units
are built each year in the modern facilities of Pagani
Automobili in Modena, Italy; and each supercar is different
from the one that went before.
