Giugiaro has
presented a fourth look at his new concept project set
to be unveiled at the 78th Geneva Motor Show next week,
this time allowing a much better look at the overall
shape than has been previously seen through the previous
three close-up teaser shots.
The car will
be presented in Geneva at 2:40 pm on 4th March as the
famous Italian designer celebrates the 40th anniversary
of his company Italdesign being active in the design and
engineering business.
Italdesign has been responsible for a whole
swage of iconic designs over the last four decades including the
timeless first Volkswagen
Golf, the stylish new Alfa Romeo Brera and the
big-selling Fiat Grande Punto,
among many others.
Giugiaro
traditionally showcases his latest ideas and products at the
Swiss show and last year he unwrapped the Vad.Ho concept an
innovative, futuristic sportscar that was hydrogen
powered and packaged its passengers in an unusual line
astern formation. This year's project is expected to
build again on the performance/alternative power theme, with
the slogan "nature has never been so powerful" being used as
the tagline on his website.
The new 3-door
concept sports car shows its long, sleek body sitting snugly
on large alloy wheels squeezed into the arches, in today's
fourth photo release, with a very prominent glass roof
section that flows right to the rear, this glass area
complimented by large sized door window sections. An unusual
rear light cluster arrangement is made up of rows of
now-fashionable small LED lights, while another distinct
feature of this project is the 'slice' effect along the
lower flanks which is replicated in the quarter glass. The
car will also be badged by Giugiaro rather than carrying a
manufacturer's name.
Italdesign
promise to present another teaser shot of the new concept,
which will be shown on its website on Friday (29th
February), as the build up to the 78th Geneva Motor Show
moves into its final few days.
