LAMBORGHINI ESTOQUE

Along with the tag line "A new chapter in the history of Lamborghini", the Italian sports car maker has this afternoon presented a fourth 'teaser' image of its new four-seat concept coupé, expected to be dubbed Estoque, that will be announced tomorrow in greater detail and presented to the world's media in Paris on Thursday.

This fourth teaser image, following on from a glimpse of the rear exhausts/splitter, the front wheel and bonnet, and the rear light cluster, shows the headlight area. The image reveals a completely new direction in headlight design and shape from the Gallardo and Murciélago models, while behind the light unit a sharp slat in the bonnet section could be related to airflow to the front engine.

The name of the dramatic new project, which takes Lamborghini in a new direction, is expected to be Estoque, keeping up a tradition of relating models to bullfighting. Estoque is a type of sword used by matadors. It will be a four-seat sports car and realised to compete head-on with Porsche's new Panamera. Automobili Lamborghini will unveil its new project at the Volkswagen Group Event ‘Driving Ideas’, in Paris on 1 October. It will be then presented on the Lamborghini stand at the 2008 Paris Mondial de l'Automobile on press days, 2nd and 3rd October.
