Fiat
Automóveis is dominating proceedings
at the Salão Internacional do Automovel in São Paulo
this week with a wide array of innovative vehicles,
including a heavily re-worked 300bhp supercharged 'super
sportivo' version of the Strada pick-up.
The
super-sportive Strada compact pick-up model shows that there
are virtually no limits for the creativity of sportiveness
lovers. Developed by Fiat’ Centro Stilo, the result is a
model with high performance and exclusive looks.
The body has
received special painting ― tricolt ― in the color yellow
with red pigments, which has been specially developed for
this car. It has received 18” diameter wheels, height
adjustable suspensions and a kit composed of front aerofoil,
side mini-skirts and rear bumpers. The Led headlamps and the
rearview mirrors are the same ones used in competitions.
The load
compartment door is electric assisted and the step tire has
been abolished. To compensate, Strada comes equipped with an
electric trio for immediate repair of punctures. The sliding
sunroof is electric and, internally, the model received
sport-like emphasis on the seats, pedals and steering wheel.
The sound system, which belongs to the Fiat accessory line,
has the radio with CD player and 8 inch speakers. An onboard
navigation system (GPS) developed by Magneti Marelli is
installed on the dashboard.
The 1.8 liter
engine became equipped with a supercharger and the power
turned from the original 114 hp to the unbelievable 300 hp
power. The exhaust kit has been changed for another one made
of stainless steel with two and a half inches of diameter.
