It will be
not only a sports challenge, but also one of design,
which will see the maxi yacht Alfa Romeo sharing the
spotlight with the most prestigious superyachts in the
world, from 25 to 50 metres. From 23 to 26 of
June the Boat International Superyacht Regatta will be
bringing together the utmost expressions of yacht design and
technology in the waters of Porto Cervo.
Yachts crafted
by the world’s foremost shipbuilders and designed by the
most famous international designers, such as Reichel/Pugh,
Briand, Dubois, Frers, Tripp and Judel/Vrolijk.
A veritable
triumph of the state of the art in the superyacht sector and
the first edition of an event organised by the Yacht Club
Costa Smeralda on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of
the Boat International Group, leader in publications
dedicated to the world of superyachts.
A sports
competition which, more than any other sailing event,
promises to combine competition, exclusiveness and design in
3 days of regattas that will feature 25 of the world’s most
admired yachts on the starting line.
The silver
jubilee of Boat International will be celebrated in
spectacular style this year with a four-day regatta in the
breathtaking waters off Costa Smeralda in northern Sardinia.
This prestigious event – the Boat International Silver
Jubilee Superyacht Regatta – is being organised by Boat
International Group and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and
will be designed around the specific needs of the owners of
sailing superyachts. Race management will be to ISAF world
championship standard, and the YCCS team will be responsible
for all technical aspects of the event, including race
management, the provision of an international jury and the
operation of the race headquarters in its clubhouse at Porto
Cervo.
Berthing in the
Porto Cervo purpose-built marina will ensure that
superyachts have access to all the necessary services and
enjoy the facilities of the one of the world’s most
prestigious yacht clubs. Owners and their guests will be
able to use the club’s amenities for the duration of the
regatta.
After the Boat
International Super Yacht Regatta, Alfa Romeo will return to
Sardinia in September for the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup (Porto
Cervo, 2-6 September).
