KESSEL RACING FERRARI F430 GT3

Last year Moser and Vannelet led the European FIA GT3 standing for the whole season following an impressive double victory in the opening round at Silverstone (above) in their Ferrari F430 GT3.

Reigning FIA GT3 champions Kessel Racing has announced its ambitious 2008 programme, which will include entering the GT2 category of the FIA GT Championship, with a 2008 version of the Ferrari F430 GT2.

This represents a step up in categories for the Swiss racing team and one of the drivers signed up for the new challenge will be the young Swiss FIA GT3 European Champion Henri Moser, who won the 2007 title with Kessel Racing along with team-mate Gilles Vannelet. The team will use Michelin tyres.

"The team is pleased that Henri will stay with the team for this new adventure," Kessel Racing commented in their press release. Last year Moser and Vannelet led the European FIA GT3 standing for the whole season following an impressive double victory in the opening round at Silverstone in their Ferrari F430 GT3.

Kessel Racing also confirmed that they intend to defend the Drivers' title they won in the FIA GT3 European Championship, entering three Ferrari F430 GT3 cars. The drivers are yet to be announced.

The team's busy season will revolve around further programmes for the Ferrari F430 derivative, and will also include the one-make Ferrari Challenge Europa series, as well as the GT3 category of the Sara Italian GT Championship, and the ADAC GT Masters, the latter which is also open to FIA GT3 compliant machines.
