Fiat’s central London flagship site was once again
transformed into a top reception venue last week (2
April) – this time it was for a capital city celebration
of Abarth.
The flagship dealership, Fiat Marylebone in London’s Wigmore
Street, was designed with fashion shows, art exhibitions and
other evening receptions in mind, as well as having the
ability to display a wide range of Fiat cars.
It therefore proved the perfect venue for ‘An evening
dedicated to Abarth’, celebrating both the marque’s 60th
anniversary and its recent introduction into the capital’s
showroom. Just 16 dealerships in the UK sell Abarth high
performance models.
More than 100 guests, including Edmund King, President of
the AA, and Andrew Humberstone, managing director, Fiat
Group Automobiles UK, enjoyed a champagne reception while
admiring a stunning collection of classic Abarth racers,
along with the brand’s latest offerings, the sporty Abarth
Grande Punto and pocket-rocket Abarth 500. To add to the
evening’s sporty theme, guests were invited to compete for
fun prizes on an eight-lane Scalextric track and a Ferrari
arcade game.
“Our flagship has again proved it is more than capable of
holding some fantastic receptions, and this important one –
a celebration of Abarth’s work – was no exception. I am
delighted the evening was such a success,” says Tony Dittli,
managing director, Fiat Marylebone. The Abarth Grande Punto
starts at £13,500 while the Abarth 500 costs £13,600. Both
cars can have an exciting esseesse upgrade specified.
