								Alfa
Romeo has relaunched in Argentina and Uruguay
this summer with a new private importer, Centro
Milano S.A., taking charge for the fortunes of
the Italian carmaker, and the company which has
strong ambitions for the brand on these markets
has just held a glittering presentation in
Buenos Aires, Argentina, to lay out its plans
and showcase the arrival of the MiTo in the
								country.

					The new
exclusive representative of the Alfa Romeo brand unveiled
the MiTo in a pure Italian atmosphere in the distinguished
private club, Lowlands Club, located in Belgrano, an
elegant neighbourhood in the city of Buenos Aires, the
capital of Argentina. The event brought together around 350
people, including many personalities from several segments
of Argentine society, entrepreneurs, politics, sports,
					artists and entertainers.

					The CEO of
Centro Milano, Ms Carolina Belcastro, emphasised the
characteristics of the Alfa MiTo, a model targeted at
premium segment customers in Argentina whom appreciate
exclusivity, design and cutting edge technology in a car.
The Fiat Group was previously responsible for the fortunes
of the Alfa Romeo brand on these two markets. Attending to
the glamorous launch event as well were senior managers from
Fiat Group Automobiles S.P.A., including the CEO of Fiat
Argentina Mr. Cristiano Rattazzi, the Managing Director of
Alfa Romeo in Brazil, and the Argentinean automobile
designer Juan Manuel Diaz from Fiat Centro Stile in Italy,
who led the team that was responsible for crafting the
external lines of the Alfa MiTo.

					Juan Manuel Diaz
declared to the guests assembled at the Lowlands Club
that he had just achieved a second dream in his professional
life: “The first was designing a car, which took place with
MiTo that fortunately has been having an excellent reception
by the public, and the second, was having the chance to
present it in my country, Argentina,” by which he expressed
his gratitude to those that had made it all possible. The
designer assured guests that the MiTo lines' had received a
strong influence from the stunning Alfa 8C Competizione
sports car, a stylistic and technological icon for the Alfa
Romeo brand of today, and a brand that he considers the most
					influential in automotive history.

					The CEO of Fiat
Argentina, Mr. Cristiano Rattazzi, affirmed: “It is very
encouraging to see the seriousness in which Centro Milano,
Carolina Belcastro and the rest of the team have been
working with Alfa Romeo and its product range. It is a
challenge that is worthwhile because we all know the empathy
that exists between the Argentineans and the brand of ‘Cuore
Sportivo’, grounded in pillars such as the Italian style and
its long and victorious motoring history, where many
Argentinean pilots had the opportunity to be part of. I wish
the best success for Centro Milano and Alfa Romeo,” he
					concluded.

					Centro Milano has also
announced that they will bring just 70 units of the Alfa
MiTo to Argentina and Uruguay this year thus guaranteeing
its exclusivity. Even more exclusive will be other members
of the Alfa Romeo range selected to be imported into the two
countries as this year it will bring 30 units of the Alfa
159 sedan, a similar number of the Alfa 147 hatchback and
just 10 units each of the Brera and Spider.
