Gooding & Company has announced the addition of a unique piece of Ferrari history for its Scottsdale Auction on January 17, 2009, the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Competizione. Complete with its original engine and alloy bodywork, the Short Wheelbase Berlinetta is widely considered to be one of the finest and most authentic examples of its kind.

The Ferrari 250 GT SWB Competizione is in addition to the extremely rare and original, covered headlight 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider from the renowned VanKregten Estate, which is expected to sell at the Gooding & Company Scottsdale Auction for US$5-7 million and is being sold without reserve. Gooding & Company is offering this collection of exceptional, recently discovered vehicles that include exciting examples of both automobiles and motorcycles. More than 20 vehicles from the impressive VanKregten Estate will be sold.

The Gooding & Company Scottsdale Auction preview days will be held on January 15th and 16th. The January 17th auction will take place in downtown Scottsdale, adjoining the Scottsdale Fashion Square.
