The
newest Ferrari Store on the Italian market has
been officially opened at the chic Via degli
Strozzi 4R. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by
Scuderia Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, and followed by a
cocktail party for Ferrari clients and a select group of
guests. Two exceptional cars were on display at the new
Store: a Ferrari 275 GTB - the 1964 berlinetta bodied by
Pininfarina, of which 450 were built - and an Ferrari Enzo -
a 2002 extreme road car encompassing all of the Prancing
Horse’s most advanced F1-derived technologies, of which just
399 were built.
The concept for the two-storey 240 square
metre Florence Ferrari Store was developed entirely by the
Studio Iosa Ghini and sees it as much as a homage to the
history and spirit of Ferrari’s twin souls of racing and
luxury as a straightforward retail outlet. Each area of the
Store has thus been carefully designed as a special,
once-off space in which shoppers can truly embrace the
Ferrari experience. It will offer a wide selection of
products from the Prancing Horse ranges for GT car clients
and enthusiasts, and Formula 1 tifosi. Also on sale is a
replica F2003 single-seater.
The Florence Ferrari Store joins the other
26 prestige Prancing Horse retail locations around the
world, including those in London (recently inaugurated by
Kimi Räikkönen), Barcelona (Spain), San Francisco and Miami
(USA), Macao (China, and Abu Dhabi (UAE). It was created and
will be managed by the ARP Group, which already partners
Ferrari in the Rome, Fiumicino, Venice, Milan Malpensa and
Bologna Stores. The Ferrari Store development programme
includes plans to bring the number of openings to more than
40 over the next three years in Europe, America, and the
Middle and Far East.
