A new
flagship showroom for the Fiat and Abarth brands has
been inaugurated in Luxembourg. The opening ceremony was
held on Wednesday (January 14th) in Luxembourg and
amongst the guests in attendance was Mr. Lorenzo
Sistino, CEO Fiat Automobiles SpA.
The two new
flagship showrooms are operated by Autopolis, the leading
dealer network in Luxemburg belonging to the Alcopa Holding
(managed by the Belgian family Moorkens). Autopolis also has
franchises for Volvo, Honda, Suzuki, Opel, Chevrolet,
Cadillac, Hummer and Corvette. The new showrooms will have 600
square meters dedicated to Fiat and 150 square meters for Abarth.
The sales goal
is for 300 units from the Fiat brand and 150 units for
Abarth brand to start in 2009. The showroom, which is
directed by Mr Ed Goedert, is located close to the centre of
Luxemburg in the industrial zone of Bertrange.
The new
dealership will help Fiat to continue raising its results in
Luxemburg from 2009. Fiat registrations are on the up in the
tiny country, already they have risen by 30 percent in 2008
compared with 2007, bring annual sales to above the 1,000
units mark.
Besides the
sales and maintenance activities, the showroom accommodates
an Italian restaurant opened to the general public with a
terrace for summer season. Autopolis will involve Fiat and
Abarth in cultural activities locally and also organize
specific events for Abarth with the creation of an Abarth
club in Luxemburg aimed at organising sports events annually
for demanding customers.
