A giant 5:1 scale model of the new Fiat 500C has
just arrived in central London and opened its
‘doors’ to the public yesterday (Friday 28
August), as part of a fun-filled Fiat event
called The Big Smile.
Situated at Parklife on London’s Oxford Street, The Big
Smile will be entertaining visitors up to 8.00pm everyday
until Wednesday next week, featuring roaming entertainers,
free-to-enter competitions, stilt walkers and snack stalls –
not to mention the chance to win the loan of a real Fiat
500.
The giant Fiat 500C model – five times the normal size –
has come to the UK as part of a Europe-wide
tour to promote the popular new convertible. The
5:1 scale model of the car has appeared before
on Fiat’s international motor show stands around
the world, but this latest version simulates the
‘open-top’ style of the 500C with a spectacular
projection of the sky on to the inner lining of
the car’s roof.
The Big Smile is in London until 2 September on Oxford
Street – one of the busiest shopping streets in the world.
The showcase is set to generate awareness and interest in the new
Fiat 500C and is designed to make people smile when they see
it – much like the effect created when driving the real car.
The summer mood of The Big Smile event is enhanced by
bright internal hoardings that aim to recreate a typical park scene
along with deckchairs
and plants, while examples of the Fiat 500,
500C and 500byDiesel are also on display for enthusiasts
and potential customers to view.
