The continuing drive by Fiat Professional – the commercial vehicle arm of Fiat Group Automobiles SpA – to produce top quality, high value vans, has been given a boost in the Fleet Van Awards 2009. The company has just been presented with the top prize for Most Improved Van Manufacturer of the Year in the influential industry awards, which were announced at a special ceremony at the Lancaster London Hotel, Hyde Park, London.

The competition’s panel of judges particularly singled out Fiat Professional’s range of vans for its choice of models, and its ability to service the needs of its customers and dealers. “Fiat Professional has made huge strides forward in terms of fleet support and back-up through its dealer network,” says Stephen Briers, editor-in-chief, Fleet Van. “It now has a strong model line-up and an excellent understanding of the needs of fleet operators, and is sure to go from strength to strength.”

“We are delighted with this recognition, as constant improvement is something we are always striving to achieve,” says Gerry Clarke, director, Fiat Professional. “We know we have made great improvements in the last few years and it is satisfying to know the experts can see that too.” The Fiat Professional van range in the UK comprises Grande Punto Van, Fiorino, Scudo, Ducato and Doblò Cargo.
