Chrysler Group
has announced a wholesale raft of new senior management
appointments across its engineering, product design and
manufacturing divisions as the reborn gears up for its new
future with Fiat post the Chapter 11 process. In just over a
week's time production of Chrysler vehicles will resume at
at least seven plants after the shutdown at the end of
April.
The following
appointments have been made within its Engineering
organisation, led by Scott G. Kunselman, Senior Vice
President - Engineering:
- Daniel C. Knott has been appointed Head of Vehicle
Engineering. In this position, Mr. Knott will be responsible
for all vehicle-line platform programs, along with vehicle
development analysis and validation.
- Andreas Schell was appointed Head of Innovation and
Pre-Program Concepts. In this position, Mr. Schell will be
responsible for advance vehicle development, innovation,
ENVI, Global Electric Motors and Peapod programs.
- Mauro Pierallini was named Head of Systems and Component
Engineering. In this position, Mr. Pierallini will be
responsible for body, interior, chassis,
electrical/electronics and engine systems engineering, as
well as international engineering responsibility for Asia,
Central Eastern Europe and Mexico.
- Stephen J. Bartoli was appointed Head of Engineering
Planning. In this position, Mr. Bartoli will continue to be
responsible for regulatory affairs and product technical
planning.
- Byron A. Kearney has been appointed Head of Scientific
Labs, Vehicle Testing and Proving Grounds. In this
position, Mr. Kearney will be responsible for proving
grounds, engineering services, materials, virtual analysis
and vehicle testing, power train testing and analysis and
business planning and operations.
- Robert E. Lee is appointed Head of Powertrain Engineering.
In this position, Mr. Lee will continue to be responsible
for powertrain engine systems, gasoline engine engineering,
diesel engineering, Pentastar engine program, powertrain
electrical / electronic and controls engineering,
transmission and driveline engineering, hybrid powertrain
programs, powertrain program management, and powertrain
integration.
The following
appointments have been made within its Product Design
organization, led by Ralph Gilles, Senior Vice President -
Product Design:
- Joseph Dehner has been appointed Head of Dodge Design. In
this position, Mr. Dehner will be responsible for all design
activities for Dodge-brand vehicles.
- Brandon Faurote was appointed Head of Chrysler Design. In
this position, Mr. Faurote will be responsible for all
design activities for Chrysler-brand vehicles.
- Mark Allen was appointed Head of Jeep Design. In this
position, Mr. Allen will be responsible for all design
activities for Jeep-brand vehicles.
- Timothy Anness continues as Head of Advance Design. In
this position, Mr. Anness will be responsible for all
interior and exterior advance packaging design activities
for all Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles.
- Klaus Busse continues as Head of Interior Design and
Component Commonization. In this position, Mr. Busse will be
responsible for all interior design activities for Chrysler,
Dodge and Jeep vehicles.
- Brandt Rosenbusch continues as Car Curator to the Walter
P. Chrysler Museum and Historical Collection Coordiator.
The following
appointments have been made within its Manufacturing
organization, led by Frank J. Ewasyshyn, Executive Vice
President - Manufacturing:
- Byron Green has been appointed Head of Manufacturing
Engineering. In this position, Mr. Green is responsible for
all Assembly product and process activities associated with
current and future platforms.
- Fred Goedtel Jr. was appointed Head of Assembly
Operations. In this position, Mr. Goedtel is responsible for
all Assembly plants.
- Warren Miller continues in his current role as Head of
Stamping Operations, which includes responsibility for
Advance Stamping Manufacturing Engineering.
- Brian Harlow was named Head of Powertrain Operations. In
this position, Mr. Harlow is responsible for all Powertrain
plants and Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering.
- Santiago Pages was appointed Head of Mexico Operations. In
this position, Mr. Pages is responsible for all Mexican
Manufacturing plants.
- Mike Tonietto has been appointed Head of Manufacturing
Vehicle Platforms. In this position, Mr. Tonietto is
responsible for the Manufacturing development of vehicle
platforms in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering and
Vehicle Engineering.
- Jason Ryska has been named Head of World Class
Manufacturing. In this position, Mr. Ryksa is responsible
for the implementation of World Class Manufacturing
throughout the Chrysler Group Manufacturing Organization.
- May-Leng Yau Patterson was appointed Head of Manufacturing
Planning and Control. In this position, Ms. Patterson is
responsible for Supply Chain Management.
- Joe Chao has announced his intention to leave the company
to pursue other opportunities. Chrysler Group is grateful
