A
perfect mix of the
diametrically opposite worlds of the long tradition of
exquisite hand craftmanship in creating automobiles and the
thrust of modern technology, F&M Auto's exclusive new Vulca
S
sports car has received its world première at the Luxury &
Yachts show in Vicenza.
This is the first car to be entirely
designed and developed in-house by F&M and it classically reinterprets the
typical concept of the "all Italian GT". With its lightweight, hand beaten all
aluminium bodywork, the Vulca S is a 2+2 coupé with sinuous and modern, elegant
yet aggressive style. Under the hood pulsates a powerful, reliable, latest
generation engine which provides in all its guises exhilarating performance.
The Vulca S is designed by young Hungarian designer Zsolt Tárnok who is a
graduate of the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, Italy,
and has a number of innovative design projects already
under his belt. It is 4.83m long, 2.00m wide and 1.34m
high, totally hand made in aluminium, complete with a
sophisticated data acquisition system that can
accurately monitor driving skills while inside a fully
hand-stitched leather trim creates a sophisticated,
luxurious environment for the occupants: the Vulca S is
a true beast disguised in a gorgeous dress. The car has
the option of two engines: either a 7.0-litre V12 which
produces 520 bhp or a 5.8-litre V10 with 630hp.
For the new Vulca S project, which is F&M Auto's second
self-built car after the Anstas V8 GT, the Italian firm has
developed strategic partnerships with OZ Racing
(wheels), Continental Italia (tyres) and Black srl
(interior finish), AIM Sportline (Data Acquisition
System), Delta Sigma (bespoke Video/HiFi system). F&M
Auto has a long tradition of carrying out restoration
work in the finest of Italian traditions.
The Vulca S will
be produced in very limited numbers: only 10, each one
individually numbered, will be built. This - says F&M - will
ensure its exclusivity and an unbelievable attention to
detail. The Vulca S was officially unveiled to the public
this month for the first time at the Salone Internazionale
del Lusso (Luxury & Yachts) in Vicenza on the 6-7-8 and
13-14-15 March.
