Haller
Tuning has become the first aftermarket company to offer
a wide array of upgrade parts to enhance and toughen up
the Iveco Massif offroad vehicle even further in all areas to prepare
it for use in the most extreme theatre of operations.
The Iveco
Massif is a robust 7-seater off roader that is built in
a joint project with Santana-Motor in Spain and is
already on sale through Iveco's dealer network across
Europe. It has been styled for Iveco by Giorgetto
Giugiaro working with the Iveco Style Centre. It
features all-wheel-driver, Iveco's Euro 4 compliant
3.0-litre engine (the HPI version has 146 bhp/350 Mn and
the HPT has 176 bhp/400 Nm) both of which are mated up
to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Safety is class leading and
interior comfort options include SatNav, air
conditioning to the front and rear compartments, as well
as a CD/MP3 player.
Now the
German firm Haller Tuning has created a package to
upgrade the Massif inside and out. On the outside Haller
Tuning has developed a number of robust components that
aim to enhance the Massif's abilities. The stainless
steel solid front bullbar which wraps down under the
vehicle emphasises the Massif’s shape and appearance.
The bars are also suitable for the mounting of
additional floodlights. The 'elegant' door rails (which
weigh 25 kg) meanwhile consist of two pipe frames, one
with a diameter of 76 mm and the other of 25 mm, which
together enable a convenient stepping platform.
Meanwhile the rear protective frame made from 60mm
stainless steel pipe which completes the styling and
gives the Massif a strong back end. A steel powered
coated full length roof rack is an option and to attach
additional flood lights a stainless steel double frame
can be fixed onto the roof of the Massif in front of the
roof rack to optimally floodlight the route over
difficult terrain at night. The external changes
continue with tinted windows for the rear and rear side
doors and new steel wheels to allow wider tyres to be
fitted. Also available are 7x16-inch alloy wheels. A
stainless steel ladder mounted on the rear allows for
easy access to the roof rack. The external changes are
completed by grilles to protect the front and rear light
units from small stones.
Inside
Scheelmann sports seats can be added for greater
comfort, as well as with a new armrest, while leather
upholstery can be specified for the dashboard, steering
wheel and central console to create a pleasant room
temperature in the Massif and lend an elegant atmosphere
to the interior. The leather comes in four colours:
black, grey, beige or brown. The plastic parts of the
dashboard are then varnished in RAL colour and are also
available with an aluminium or carbon finish. The
leather option also includes the rear seats, door cards
and A- and B-pillar covers. Haller Tuning also offer
additional two seats for the rear load bay with the
option of a quick release system or a permanent
installation.
A new roof
console allows the creation of additional space through
a hinged storage compartment and a DIN compartment, e.g.
for radio installation. At the same time the roof
console offers additional interior lightning: reading
lights for driver and passenger as well as lighting for
the rear area. In the boot two new spacious storage
boxes have a loading capacity of around 100 litres per
box. They are quickly installed and removed and are
ideal for storing of small objects; they lock with
latches.
New
aluminium underfloor protection covers cover the
axles/differential and main floor section. Under the
front end a similar material cover protects the engine
from flooding in the event of the Massif entering water.
Hide height can be raised from the 200 mm standard
specification by an additional 35-40 mm thanks to a set
of new springs and shock absorbers. The spring
characteristic is softer, so there is a higher
entanglement of the vehicle if it goes off-road. Due
later this year will be a periscope to allow air flow in
extreme conditions of dust or water.
