As the
Ferrari team prepares for tomorrow's Bahrain Grand Prix,
a ceremony took place in the Ferrari paddock where its
drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa presented the
new logo for the forthcoming Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
The Ferrari World Abu Dhabi logo blends the
classic style of the infamous Ferrari logo with a new
design element reflective of the theme park's iconic
roof design.
Ferrari World
Abu Dhabi is located on Yas Island, a 2,500 hectare
leisure, entertainment and lifestyle development being
developed by Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi's leading property
development, management and investment company. Set to be
opened in 2010, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is set to be
the world's largest indoor theme park, sitting under a roof
designed in the style of a classic double-curve body shell
of a Ferrari GT car.
The developers
believe that there will be energy, excitement and passion
for the entire family at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
With over 20 rides and attractions, including the world's
fastest rollercoaster, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is more than
a theme park - it is the total Ferrari experience. Some of
the rides and attractions featured at Ferrari World Abu
Dhabi include an exhilarating thrill-ride on a 200-foot
high (over 60 meters) tower, dual coasters that offer guest
riders the chance to race each other to the finish line, as
well as a variety of interactive motion and sound theatre
experiences.
