During yesterdays' Solberg Extreme Motor Show
a diverse variety of motorsport disciplines,
such as drifting, rally, top fuel and - for the
first time in the country's history - Formula 1
was presented, thanks to the dramatic appearance
of an F2005 single-seater at the spectacular
event at Fornebu's Telenor Arena in Norway.
Numerous drivers of international fame came to
the football stadium where usually the home team
Stabæk Fotball plays. As well as 2003 FIA World
Rally Champion Petter Solberg who organised the
event with his rally driving brother Henning,
other major stars lto hit the temporary track
included four-times WRC title winner Tommi
Mäkinen (1996-1999), Mathias Ekström, Gigi Galli,
Mikko Hirvonen, Martin Schanke, Andreas
Mikkelsen and Ludvig Hundsbedt were also be
present with many bringing their own cars to the
spectacular show.
The
stadium was set up with a temporary circuit for
the occasion with a layer of tarmac for the
different motorsport disciplines. The
extraordinary event's highlight was to offer the
Norwegian spectators the possibility to admire a
Ferrari F1 single-seater, the F2005, which was
formerly a T-car for Michael Schumacher, driven
yesterday by Arne Fredly on the track, thanks to
the input of Maranello's F1 Clienti
department.
