The second
season of
the Trofeo Fiat de Rally gets underway this weekend in Brazil. The formula of
bringing together exciting competition and money for the prizes worked very well in the
first edition of the championship last year. This format will be carried out again by
Trofeo
Fiat de Rally which will start this weekend at the city of Bragança Paulista
in the state of São Paulo.
The best placed
crews at each race in N2 category (4x2 traction system and 1600 cc engines with
limited preparation) will be money awarded, for the first place the prize will
be of R$ 3,000 (€ 1,000); R$ 2,000 (€ 655) for the second placed; R$ 1,500 (€
500) for the third; R$ 1,000 (€ 330) for the fourth and R$ 500 (€ 165) for the
fifth placed.
Just like last
year the main objective of Trofeo Fiat de Rally programme is to encourage rally
competition in Brazil. "The results were fantastic. In 2008 the championship had
a great audience and brought new competitors from other states of the country,
increasing the level of people involved in rally, and that’s what we want to do
again this year", says Cacá Clauset, the commercial director of the championship.
