Ferrari's long time
Japanese market official importer Cornes & Co. has
created a special limited edition version of the
California sports car which will come with an array of
stand-out visual cosmetic enhancements and which will be
						restricted to 10 units.
						The thrust of the
treatment meted out to the front-engined V8 folding
hardtop sports car is a clutch of carbon fibre and
titanium trim add-ons. The California Limited Edition,
as it is to be known, features new carbon side skirt
sections that follow the line of the door step upwards
and then chase sharply onto the rear three panel, as
well as carbon-fibre door handles and a petrol filler
flap. To complement these trim changes there are new
five spoked forged wheels with a new polish for the rims
and which use titanium wheel nuts.
						Ten examples of the
California Limited Edition will be prepared, three in
red, three in black and the balance in white, all with
polished carbon and titanium trim additions. Cornes &
Co. are quoting a list price of ¥26,500,000 for the
upgraded model. The first one was shown during the
"Ferrari Autumn Fair" event held at its Tokyo showroom.
Cornes & Co. has a tradition of creating limited edition
upgrades to Prancing Horse models: most recently, in
2006 to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary as the
official importer, it created a special series of the
						612 Scaglietti.
