After almost
exactly three years in production the
Fiat Bravo is receiving some Model Year improvements to
take it into 2010 with two additional new colours, new
interior fabrics and expanded levels of equipment and
specification packs that aim to improve its style, value
and appearance. The new Bravo MY will go on sale in
Italy next month.
On the outside
the plastic front grille is now finished in black with the
'Emotion' specified version having the slats tipped in a
chrome-finish on the lower section to match the already
chromed upper part. The door mirrors and handles are also
body-coloured and the light unit projectors are now
transparent around the turn signal indicators. Two new
colours have been inserted into the color range: a new shade
of gray and a pearl-finish coat.
The interior also been altered on the Active
and Dynamic. There is now a "carbon look" package and on
the Dynamic version the fabrics have benefitted from new
designs and colours, including the new "sand" trim, designed
to enhance the interior, making the Bravo brighter and feel
roomier.
Engines are the same but the Bravo 1.4 with 90 bhp in 2010
specification is Euro 5 compliant with
146 g/km of CO2 (in advance of the mandatory
application of the rules) and LPG versions are available
on the 'Emotion' level.
To offer a more comprehensive and personalised
content on
the Bravo Model Year 2010 there are new options
packages, priced at 800 euros each, which offer consumers a
significant economic advantage over purchasing the optional separately.
The Active
'Sound' pack provides front fog lamps, radio CD and MP3
player. while Active/Dynamic 'Blue' offers the Blue &
Me, rear parking sensors and electric rear windows on the
Dynamic and the Blue Emotion includes Fiat's
Blue&Me infotelematic package, front and rear parking sensors, lights
and rain sensors and mirrors that fold electrically (on
the Emotion) while finally the 'Blue Sport' pack offers Blue&Me,
18-inch alloy wheels, as well as rear glass and rear windows
with darkened tint.
While offering
improved content, the prices of Bravo Model Year 2010 in
Italy remain unchanged compared to the
corresponding 2009 versions and start at 16,650 euro
for the Active 1.4 16v 90CV, rising to 24,300 euros for
the 2.0 Multijet 16v 165CV fitted with DPF in Emotion and Sport
levels.
Last year in
Italy the Bravo achieved sales of 38,997 units and was the
third best-selling model in C-segment. While it couldn't get
on terms with the VW Golf in C-segment with consumers it was
the category's top-selling LPG model with almost 40 percent
of all private sales. The new Bravo Model Year 2010 will go
on sale in February after a special launch event.
