Fiat Automóveis is giving
the entry-level version of the Palio Fire Economy in
Brazil a thorough makeover with new aesthetic details
inside and out along, better standard equipment, and a
new special options pack, all helping to cement its
place in the range of the carmaker's most popular
selling model, while at the same time keeping the price
almost unchanged. The Palio Fire Economy version is
still produced at the Betim factory retaining the body
styling of the last-generation B-segment Palio hatchback
model and it slots into the Brazilian showrooms as a
very cost-effective range-opener.
The revamped Palio Fire
Economy 2011 focuses mainly on improving its aesthetic
appearance with a host of detailing improvements that
will also help to mark it out as a distinct model in its
own right. These visual changes to the exterior include

chromed bar and a new lower grille insert comprising of
two horizontal bars in a bezel that slots tightly into
the middle lower spoiler section.
The changes wrought at
the front of the Palio Fire Economy 2011 are completed
by new smoked glass headlights with a black rear panel
which are sourced from the sporty Fiat Palio 1.8 R. The
other exterior improvements include new a design of 13-
and 14-inch hub caps, chunky side skirts and smoked rear
light units. Inside the Palio Fire Economy 2011 gets new
seat material fabrics which are extended to the door
panels.
Under the skin the Palio Fire Economy 2011, in both 2-
and 4-door format, now offers power assisted steering as
a standard feature. This is a highly requested item that
extends further the standard equipment list for this
model series, which also offers, for example, colour-coded
bumpers and high-level rear brake-light, amongst other
details.
Within the options list for the revised model Fiat
Automóveis has added a new equipment kit, called
"Celebration 11", which it believes will provide
customers with excellent value. Comprising of
air-conditioning, central locking and powered windows at
the front, this kit is priced at R $ 3,710.00, which
adds up to a saving of R $ 1,264.00 if all the items
were to be purchased separately.
The 2011-specification versions of the Palio Fire
Economy will arrive in the showrooms next month with a
competitive price tag. With the array of new aesthetic
details as well as more quipment as standard, with power
steering included, the Palio Fire Economy two-door will
sell for R$ 26,570.00 and Palio Fire Economy four-door
