Fiat Automóveis has
rolled out a series of "Model Year 2011" updates across
its model range on the Brazilian market, led out by new
"Attractive" versions of the Palio, Palio Weekend and
Punto. The "Attractive" specification level, a tag which
was also introduced to the new Uno launched just a few weeks
ago,
is focused on being the entry-level version of the 1.4
FIRE Flex (dual fuel) option of
the three models, so for the Palio Weekend and Punto it
slots in as the range-opener.
The "Attractive" level aims to enhance the
1.4-litre model offering's position in terms of
comfort and sophistication and for the Palio and Palio
Weekend the centre section of the instrument panel is
now finished in a new gray colour, there are also new hub
caps and new logos to denote the new version. The Palio
and Palio weekend also get some trim upgrades. Well
equipped as well as offering excellent value for money,
all 1.4 litre versions of the Attractive package for the
Palio, Palio Weekend and Punto come with high specification
levels as standard, including power steering,
high level rear brake light, follow-me-home lights, My
Car Fiat, and dual glove box.
The new
Palio Attractive 1.4 Flex version is priced at R$ 33.320,00
in the Brazilian showrooms, the
Palio Weekend Attractive 1.4 Flex comes in at R$ 40.960,00,
while the new
Punto Attractive 1.4 Flex, keeps its price
within the current line for 2011, at R$ 38.940,00.
The
Palio range for 2011 kicks off with the Fire Economy 1.0 Flex 2dr,
then runs through the Fire Economy
1.0 Flex 4dr, ELX 1.0 Flex 2dr, ELX 1.0 Flex 4dr,
the new Attractive 1.4 model, ELX 1.8 Flex and ELX 1.8 Flex
Dualogic before culminating in the sporty 1.8R,
offered in both 2- and 4-door guises. Meanwhile the Palio Weekend's
line-up opens with the Attractive 1.4 Flex with the rest
of the estate model's offering comprising of the Trekking 1.4 Flex, Trekking 1.8 Flex, Adventure
Locker 1.8 Flex and the range-topping Adventure Locker 1.8 Flex Dualogic.
Finally the Punto
hatchback's range for 2011 now starts with the Attractive 1.4 Flex,
and then moves onto the HLX 1.8 Flex,
Sporting 1.8 Flex and T-Jet 1.4 16V. The Punto
also benefits from the recent arrival of two new options
kits, Punto Creative I and Punto Creative II, that were added some
months ago to offer a broad range of extra equipment
that is packaged cost-effectively through the two kits.
There are further changes planned for the
2011 model year to expand the appeal of the Fiat range
in Brazil further. The Palio 1.0 ELX, the highest
specified level version of the one-litre model, the
smallest engine available in the hatchback's line-up,
gets power steering as standard across the 2-and 4-door
options while only seeing its showroom price climb by 1
percent.
The Brazilian market's best-selling light commercial
vehicle, the Strada pick-up, sees its low-cost version
the Strada 1.4 Working upgraded to "Model Year 2011"
specification across its three options: single, extended
and double cab. The entry-version, the Strada Working
1.4 FIRE single cab, as well as the two extended
versions, get a new front grille which is body-colour-coded
while the centre section is in a satin silver finish to
offer more elegance. All Strada versions will remain the
same price into 2011. The price remains the same in
all versions of the Fiat Strada, including the 1.4
Trekking which also becomes an MY2011 model. Meanwhile
the Doblò 1.4, Doblò ELX 1.4, Doblò Cargo 1.4, Siena
Tetrafuel 1.4, Palio Weekend Trekking 1.4 and Siena EL
all come to the market as 2011 models with the pricing
unchanged.
