One of the
oddities to grace the plush green lawns of the
Hurlingham Club during Salon Privé over the last three
days has been the unusual Fiat 500-based battery-powered
machine built by French firm Atomik Cars, which is
making its UK debut this week. It is a ground-breaking
new vehicle that promises supercar performance, with
						city-car size.
						Paris-based maker, Atomik Cars
has brought its 500-based car to Salon Privé this week to
show potential customers a tantalising combination of
exclusivity and zero-emission performance. Launched just
a couple of months ago the unusual Atomik 500 claims to
cover 0-100 km/h in under five seconds and boast a range
of up to 200 km, its advanced battery technology clothed
in the recognisable shape of Fiat's famous city-car
dressed though in a very distinctive new bulbous body
						kit.
Now in its fifth year, Salon
Privé, which closes this evening, is the UK’s ultimate Super Car Event and Concours
d’Elégance. Salon Privé offers a unique opportunity to
see the most exotic modern and vintage super cars in the
world, with the exquisite and exclusive Hurlingham Club
as a backdrop. A “Garden Party” atmosphere infuses the
event during the day, and in the evenings, the stunning
grounds and super cars are subtly lit, transforming the
event into a magical spectacle. With its high profile
guests and array of entertaining things to do, Salon
Privé has rapidly become one of the most eagerly
anticipated events on the English Social Calendar. Salon
Privé is one of only two daytime events per year, and
the only evening event open to non-members at the Club,
affording our guests a unique experience and priceless
						backdrop to this stunning spectacle.
"Atomik Cars offer a preview of
tomorrow’s technology, in cars you can buy and use
today. Our cars offer avant-garde design, ambition and
technological skill and Salon Privé gives us the perfect
platform to reach customers looking for just that
exclusivity," said Jerome Griffart of Atomik Cars.

The startling new vehicle is a
perfect example of the fascinating collection of
independent sports cars that are presented at Salon
Privé each year, their makers acutely aware that the
event delivers a an audience of genuine customers, at a
fraction of the resources required for a mainstream auto
						show.
						Said Salon Privé co-founder,
David Bagley, said: "Our philosophy has always been that
Salon Privé should be a showcase for the exotic, unusual
and exclusive supercars, alongside their more
recognisable contemporaries. With Atomik this year, we
are continuing that proud tradition." Salon Privé brings
together a social and motoring occasion, on the famous
lawns of London’s Hurlingham Club, offering Europe’s
largest single display of luxury cars, supercars and
some of the finest classic cars, in the stylish
surroundings of a British summer season event.
