Fiat Automóveis'
FCC II (Fiat Concept Car II) is the winner of
								the IDEA/Brazil Award in the
								Gold/Transport category, promoted by
								Associação Objeto Brasil, in partnership
with the Brazilian Export & Investment
								Promotion Agency (Apex Brasil). The
award is the local instance of the
								International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA),
the main design award of the United States and
one of the foremost in the world. The awards
ceremony was held in São Paulo, with the
presence of the manager of Centro Estilo Fiat
for Latin America, Peter Fassbender, and
								representatives of his design team.
								In addition to
the award in the Gold category, the FCC II was
also distinguished with the José Mindlin
								Special IDEA Award/Brazil, which pays
								tribute to Brazilian bibliophile and
entrepreneur José Mindlin, who was also an
enthusiast and encourager of the design in
Brazil. The trophy was handed to the
								entrepreneur’s daughter, Diana Mindlin.
								In the
catalogue that lists the awarded design
initiatives, titled The Best Brazilian Design
								2010, the Associação Objeto Brasil
highlights that "bold design, sportive lines and
recyclable body make up the identify of the FCC
II" and concludes that the "prototype
incorporates in its design and technology Fiat’s
								commitment to sustainability, with a
								differentiated product."
								The team
responsible for the concept of the FCC II is
made up of designers Manuel Ferreira, Rafael
Peixoto, Renata Tanure, Mateus Silveira, Daniel
								Lelis Vicentini, Leonardo Queiroz, Isabella
Vianna, Paulo Nakamura and Peter Fassbender.
								The FCC II
concept has amassed several important design
awards. In November 2009, the Fiat Concept Car
II, FCC II, was the only automobile model
awarded in the Brazil Design Awards, awarding
								ceremony organized by Abedesign (Brazilian
Design Company Association), in an event during
the Brazil Design Week. The FCC II concept was
introduced at the São Paulo Motor Show almost
exactly two years ago, while a brand-new concept
developed by the Centro Estilo Fiat for Latin
America and dubbed FCC III, is in the final
build stages and will be presented at the next
edition of the show which takes place this
								autumn.
